Third-base umpire Brad Myers was hit by a line drive during Monday's game between Cincinnati and Cleveland. The Brandon Phillips connected with the pitch and Myers just didn't have time to react.

The footage below tells the story.

Myers remained down for nearly 10 minutes as medical staff attended to him. He was finally able to stand and acknowledged the crowd as he was taken off the field.

"They're in a vulnerable spot out there," Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber told MLB.com. "You see a lot of times, they're just able to get out of the way. That one was just kind of one of the balls that chased him, I guess."
