USA Today's Bob Nightengale offers his opinion of who will win Game 1 of the World Series. USA Today

The Boston Red Sox host the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 1 of the 2013 World Series tonight at Fenway Park at 8:07 p.m. ET on Fox.

It's the fourth time the two teams have met in the Fall Classic: The Cardinals won in 1946 and 1967, the Red Sox in 2004.

The Red Sox and Cardinals both finished the regular season 97-65, tying for the best record in the major leagues. It's the first time since 1999 that the teams with the best record in each league met in the World Series.

The Red Sox could become the second team ever to win the World Series one season after finishing in last place. The other was the 1991 Minnesota Twins.

The Cardinals could win their second title in three years.

Teams that win Game 1 have won 20 of the past 24 World Series.
