The NBA's advisory-finance committee met Wednesday regarding Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling and were told NBA deputy commissioner met with Clippers employees and addressed the process and timing "regarding the termination of Mr. Sterling's ownership of the team."

"The Committee reviewed the status of the search for a new CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers, was updated on meetings held this week between NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum and Clippers employees, and addressed the process and timing regarding the termination of Mr. Sterling's ownership of the team," NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a news release.

The committee will meet against next week.

Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor chairs the committee, which also includes Miami Heat's Micky Arison, the Lakers' Jeanie Buss, Oklahoma City Thunder's Clay Bennett, New York Knick' James Dolan, Boston Celtics' Wyc Grousbeck, San Antonio Spurs' Peter Holt, Phoenix Sun's Robert Sarver, Indiana Pacers' Herb Simon, and Toronto Raptors' Larry Tanenbaum.
