Columbia, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Aaron Harrison scored 21 points and James Young added 20 as No. 11 Kentucky defeated Missouri, 84-79, on Saturday.
Julius Randle finished with 18 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (16-5, 6-2 SEC), who bounced back from an 87-82 loss to LSU on Tuesday.
Jabari Brown had a career-high 33 points and Jordan Clarkson added 28 for Missouri (16-5, 4-4), which had its two-game winning streak snapped.
Wes Clark's jumper cut the Missouri deficit to two, 28-26, and Kentucky proceeded to go on a 12-2 run. Andrew Harrison, who finished with 14 points, scored seven points during the spurt and capped it with a 3-pointer to push Kentucky's lead to 40-28 with 1:42 left in the first half.
Clarkson scored the final four points of the half for the Tigers and Missouri trailed 42-32 at halftime.
Young scored eight points during a 10-4 run to stretch Kentucky's lead to 56-41 just before the first media timeout of the second half. Missouri then went on a 21-7 run that Brown closed with an emphatic dunk. Brown scored the final nine points of the burst to trim the deficit to 66-63.
Randle made a tough running jumper after a pair of free throws from Andrew Harrison to push the lead to 70-63 with 6 1/2 minutes left.
Brown buried a deep 3 with 1:29 remaining, was fouled, and hit the free throw to make it a three-point game, 78-75.
Andrew Harrison made a layup with 19 seconds left to make it 82-77, and Alex Poythress blocked Clarkson's jumper at the other end. Aaron Harrison made a pair at the charity stripe on the ensuing possession to seal it for the Wildcats.
