(KSDK) – A University of Missouri basketball player has been arrested and charged for assault in Columbia, Mo., according to Columbia police.
Zach Price, a Mizzou forward and transfer from Louisville, has been arrested for third-degree domestic assault as well as third-degree assault in an incident involving his roommate and a woman, according to police.
Early Thursday morning, police responded to an incident at Heather and Ash in reference to a disturbance between Price, his male roommate and the roommate's girlfriend, according to police.
The man and woman left the area, and Price followed in his car where he blocked the man's car and prevented them from leaving the area of Stadium Boulevard, according to police. Price confronted the man, punched him and proceeded to push down the woman who tried to intervene.
The man and woman, who have not yet been identified, suffered minor injuries.
Price is being held on two bonds of $1,000 and $500.
He was arrested again Thursday afternoon, but no further information has been made immediately available.
According to multiple reports, Price has been suspended from the Mizzou basketball team.
The forward sat out this past season in following NCAA transfer rules for men's basketball players. At Louisville, he averaged 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds as a sophomore with the Cardinals.
