(KSDK Sports) -- Offensive lineman Rodger Saffold made his first NFL start at right guard, replacing Shelley Smith. Smith was at right guard the week before with Harvey Dahl sidelined by a knee injury.

Said coach Jeff Fisher, "I thought Rodger played pretty well." Saffold was the left tackle his first three seasons with the Rams, but switched to right tackle following the signing of Jake Long. He had been sharing snaps with Joe Barksdale at right tackle after missing four games because of a knee injury.

Howard Balzer will be contributing to KSDK Sports throughout the 2013 season. Howard hosts "H and Friends" Monday-Friday on Fox Sports 1490 The Champ. He is also a host on SiriusXM NFL radio and one of 44 selectors for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
