ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Sportscaster Joe Buck says he's proud of the Rams for picking Michael Sam – the first openly gay player drafted into the NFL – during the seventh round.

"I saw that, and I saw the call that he received and was completely…I was overcome by emotion," he said.

"I got the chance to meet Michael in the airport about eight months ago, before he came out, and I was just blown away by how strong and impressive he was as a young man," Buck said.
