Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Novak Djokovic cruised past American Sam Querrey in the final two sets to help Serbia clinch the best-of-five-tie, 3-1, in its quarterfinal Davis Cup match on Sunday.

The top-ranked Djokovic downed No. 20 Querrey 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-0 in a contest that lasted 2 hours, 35 minutes.

Serbia held a 2-1 lead over the U.S. entering Sunday after Nenad Zimonjic and Ilija Bozoljac defeated American Bryan twin brothers Bob and Mike 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1), 5-7, 4-6, 15-13 in a marathon of a match on Saturday.

The Australian Open champion Djokovic sends Serbia to the semifinals to face the winner of Canada-Italy in September.

In the other reverse singles match, Viktor Troicki will take on American John Isner.

Serbia topped the 32-time titlist U.S. 3-2 in Belgrade in an opening-round tie three years ago in their lone previous Davis Cup meeting.
