WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KSDK) – The Missouri of Transportation had crews on hand starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, and everyone got to work at 7 p.m.

Roads are being treated mainly with salt, and maybe some beet juice. If temperatures fall below 20 degrees, calcium chloride could be added to the fix.

Crews in Illinois began treating roads and bridges hours ago. Roughly 110 crews are at work in Illinois.
