UPDATE: Interstate 44 in Webster County has reopened after multiple accidents caused by near-blizzard conditions.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KSDK) – Two crashes have closed sections of Interstate 44 in Webster County. As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Missouri Department of Transportation says those sections will remain closed for at least two hours – and potentially longer due to near-blizzard-like conditions.
The crashes are located at:
-Eastbound I-44 at mike marker 96, between Springfield and Marshfield
-Westbound I-44 at mile marker 111 between Marshfield and Conway
MoDOT urges against travel for the duration of the storm. If you do have to drive, use caution, slow down and consider pulling off and finding shelter.
