ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The National Weather Service has extended the winter storm warning to midnight as a large storm system continues to move through the area.

As the storm winds up, northwest winds will increase into the 20 to 35 mile per hour range. This – compounded with wind chills falling well into the negatives – could spell blizzard conditions in some areas.

By Monday morning, wind chills could fall to truly dangerous levels: with readings between -20 and -35 degrees.
