KSDK - Ok, we admit -- the video isn't great, but it's still pretty impressive that an egg can freeze in 10 minutes!

Temperatures were -3 degrees when one of our web producers stood outside of our studio on 10th and Market and tried to capture this timelapse of an egg freezing! It took 10 minutes for it to become rock hard!

Another egg -- which was left in its shell -- also froze during that time period. Weirdly, no one inside of the studio wanted it.

Check out the video above -- you can see the cold's progress on the yolk, as well as the parts of the egg that drifted toward the side of the plate. Stay tuned -- if temperatures stay this cold, we might just try it again (in better light)!
