ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – After a record snowfall and polar vortex made its way through the St. Louis metropolitan area earlier this week, another round of winter weather moves through the region Thursday.

According to NewsChannel 5 meteorologist Bree Smith, light snowfall accumulations are pushing through the area Thursday. Areas can expect to have between a dusting up to 2 inches.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of the viewing area until Thursday at noon.

The snow has covered roadways and is causing problems for a slower and slippery morning commute.
