There is no rest coming for the winter weary, which is all of us. Another shot of Arctic air arrives this evening sending flurries, falling temperatures, strong winds and subzero winds chill our way. And then it gets worse.
A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the entire NewsChannel 5 viewing area from tonight through midday Thursday. By mid to late evening, temperatures will fall into the teens, northwest winds will howl along at 20-30 mph and the wind chill will drop from -5 to -10.
Overnight lows will approach zero and the entire region will see dangerously cold wind chills will between -10 and -20. Highs Thursday will only register in the low to mid teens but we'll still see wind chills near to or below zero through sunset when winds finally diminish.
