From sunrise to mid afternoon, temperatures rose roughly 30 degrees across the region -- approaching 60 for many of us. That was the easy part. Going in the other direction and dropping some 50 degrees by sunrise will be one of the hard parts.

A Wind Advisory is in effect this evening through tomorrow morning for most of us; a Wind Chill Advisory effect tonight through midday for areas north and east but all of us should expect wind chills overnight and through most of the day Monday between -10 and -25 degrees.

Winds will howl along out of the northwest from 20 to 35 mph tonight and tomorrow morning, diminishing marginally during the afternoon. After a very brief evening mix of rain and snow skies will stay cloudy overnight, lows will drop into the single digits and highs will struggle to get out of the low teens.

Monday night into Tuesday winds will be slower, so wind chills will be less of a factor, but lows Monday night will be near to or below zero and highs Tuesday will be in the upper teens.
