Warmer temperatures really are on the way so hang in there, because getting to them will be a bit of a bumpy ride.
This evening, look for flurries and even a few snow showers with temperatures holding nearly steady in the upper 20s. Then, overnight, just clouds with lows in the mid to upper 20s so…not much cooler.
Sunday, we'll see some sun and it will get a little bit warmer, but don't expect highs much above the upper 30s. And then it gets interesting.
Early Monday morning, freezing drizzle and light freezing rain should develop which is likely to last through the morning commute and, for good measure, there may be some snowflakes mixed in, especially for areas north of St. Louis. By late morning into early afternoon the precipitation should be changing over to rain and at the same time moving out of the area while temperatures push into the low to mid 40s.
Then Tuesday and Wednesday those nostalgic for the 50s are going to be happy with highs both days at or above 55.
