ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A tornado watch has been issued until 7 p.m. for a large swath of the viewing area, including Crawford, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, St. Louis, Warren and Washington Counties in Missouri, and for Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, St. Clair and Calhoun Counties in Illinois.

High winds have led to downed trees and power lines in north St. Louis, and property damage in Ladue at Conway Elementary. Downed trees and powerlines were also seen at Broadway and Riverview.

The biggest concern between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. is hail, and winds in excess of 40 miles per hour are possible throughout the viewing area.
