Goodbye April and goodbye showers! The first weekend of May has arrived in fine shape and will leave the same way. Thankfully, there's no hurry; we still have half a weekend left.
A few clouds this evening and a little cooler with lows in the mid 50s in the metro and upper 40s to low 50s in valleys and away from the city.
Sunday looks a-MAY-zing (sorry) with highs in the low 80s and a few high clouds. It's been a windy spring but winds won't be a bit of a problem as they wander from south to southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
More of the same Monday and Tuesday then Wednesday it'll be warmer and breezy with highs in the mid 80s and by late Thursday and Friday showers and storms will once again return.
If you're going to the 2014 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show this is not BYOP (bring your own plane) they'll supply the flying things and all you have to do is show up. A few high clouds and low 70s when the gates open at 9 a.m.; near 80 at noon; 82 at 3 p.m. when the air show (1-3 p.m.) is up and flying.
