ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - We're on schedule for a perfect Sunday -- as expected -- but how warm it gets depends on where you are.

The Mississippi might separate east from west in the NewsChannel 5 viewing area, but dividing north from south is a stationary front. Those north of that front are enjoying a lovely spring Sunday with highs in the upper 70s, while those south have a nice taste of summer going for them with as temperatures push into the upper 80s!

Monday, the front moves ever so slightly north so those to its south will see highs in the mid to upper 80s (including the metro area) while those to its north will top out in the low 80s and with everyone seeing just a few afternoon clouds.

Tuesday the front drops south a bit so almost all of us will top out in the low 80s then Wednesday we make a collective jump into the upper 80s as our stationary front becomes a warm front and lifts way north leaving us with strong southwest winds under partly cloudy skies.

Thursday into next weekend still looks stormy so…enjoy whatever version of Sunday splendor you've been offered!
