ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The last Sunday before Memorial Day weekend will leave a lasting impression as a slightly cool but otherwise perfect spring day. Tonight that begins to change by degrees….warmer ones, in fact.
Lows overnight will still be slightly cooler than normal with the metro area near or a bit warmer than 50 degrees and most areas away from the city just south of 50 but toward sunrise winds should begin to turn out of that cardinal direction setting the table for a bit of a late May warm up.
Tomorrow will be more humid and, with breezy southerly winds, highs will push to near 80 under mostly sunny skies.
Tuesday there is a slight chance of an afternoon storm with highs in the mid to upper 80s then Wednesday through Friday, as a cool front drops in from the north and stalls, we have a chance for seeing showers and storms each day.
For Memorial weekend itself, at this point, it looks like showers and storms are a possibility each day (especially in the afternoon and evening) with highs near 80 Saturday and in the low to mid 80s Sunday and Memorial day.
