ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The St. Louis steam is no sports franchise but the typical late spring and summer atmosphere we've all come to know and love, which is in place right now and running the weather show, setting the table for storms late this afternoon and this evening that could become severe.

We're well on the way to partly sunny skies this afternoon with highs near 90 degrees. A few scattered storms late this afternoon and evening may form that could produce large hail and damaging winds.

Late this evening, a more organized cluster should move in from central Missouri along an approaching cool front and work east beginning roughly around 9 p.m. and lasting into the early hours of Thursday; these, too, may be severe. There may be a second round of storms early Thursday morning between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Tomorrow there's a slight chance for storms and that's the case Friday through Sunday as well, with highs in the upper 70s until Sunday, when we top out in the low 80s.

The only rain-free day for all of us, at this point, looks to be Memorial Day when we see highs in the mid-80s.
