   What happens if something is sucked up into a tornado?

   Very few things remain intact if they are hit directly by a tornado.  Winds have been recorded to reach as high as 318 mph!  However, there have been stories of people and animals being sucked into the center of a tornado and surviving... I don't know if they are true though!
