Flooding closes Brussels Ferry

CALHOUN COUNTY, Ill. – The Illinois Department of Transportation has closed the Brussels Ferry, which crosses the Illinois River north of Grafton, due to flooding.

A spokesperson for IDOT says the Joe Page Bridge in Hardin and the Kampsville Ferry can be used instead of the ferry.

The closure of IL Route 96 in Mozier has been expanded between Calhoun County Highway 2 and West Panther Creek Road. Drivers can use detours marked along IL 100 and IL 106.

IDOT says the river forecast indicates IL 100 through Grafton will close Wednesday.
