Historic cold settles in across bi-state

ST. LOUIS - The combination of snow, cold, wind and dangerously low wind chills have forced us into our cabins long enough for a little of that kind of fever to set in but hang in there. It's the best place to be.

Today highs stay south of zero and winds will blow strong out of the west so that when it gets as good as it gets it's still going to be bad with wind chills consistently between -15 and -25.

Tonight we drop to near ten below again and, though winds slow down quite a bit, any breeze at will will produce a wind chill near to or below -20.

RADAR: Check the current weather conditions

A wind Chill Warning remains in effect until tomorrow.

By Tuesday afternoon we'll at least get near 20.
