Picking up after the storm in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – People in north St. Louis spent the day cleaning up after a line of destructive storms swept through the area Monday.

One of the hardest hit areas was in the 6100 block of Natural Bridge, where winds toppled a storage facility and damaged vintage cars.

The Skate King Storage Facility at 6120 Natural Bridge sustained significant damage in the late afternoon storm Monday. Tuesday, the clean-up continued.

Outside the building, roofing material was being hauled away. Inside, several vintage automobiles were totaled – including a Mustang flattened by cinder blocks.

The car was a grandfather's gift to his granddaughter.

Owner Mathew Foggy says he's grateful no one was injured, and is deciding whether to rebuild the damaged storage facility.
