Rain leads to flooding in south city school

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Nearly two inches of water flooded the first floor of St. Margaret of Scotland School Saturday after overnight rain flooded the drainage system.

Professional crews are working on cleaning and disinfecting, with the goal of having the building ready for classes on Monday.

The school is home to nearly 400 students, pre-school through 8th grade.

A speech tournament scheduled for Saturday morning had to be canceled. Only one basketball game was canceled, and the rest went on as planned.
