Winter weather roller coaster ride continues

KSDK - Our weather roller coaster ride is about to hit the afterburner. This evening we'll get cold, overnight we'll start to warm, by Sunday afternoon highs will slide into the 50s and then Sunday night the arctic circle will send us yet another gift. Are we lucky or what?

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for Clay and Effingham Counties (Ill.) from midnight Sunday to noon Monday. For Pike County (Mo.), Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin and Montgomery counties (Ill.) it's from 3 a.m. to noon Monday. Wind chills in these areas Sunday night through the first half of Monday will be in the -15 to -24 range but all the rest of us will have wind chills of at least -5 to -10 Sunday night through most of Monday.

Variable clouds tonight and tomorrow will give way to a brief mix of rain and snow Sunday evening as the bitter cold moves in and takes temperatures into the single digits by Monday morning.

Monday afternoon we'll see a high in the low teens. Yup. Lucky, lucky, lucky.
