Anne Allred anchors the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news with Mike Bush and won the Mid-America Emmy award for best news anchor for her coverage of the 2014 unrest in Ferguson, Missouri.
A native St. Louisan, Anne joined 5 On Your Side in January 2013. She's traveled extensively to cover some of the biggest new stories including content for the Olympics Games in Beijing, Vancouver, and London.
She came to 5 On Your Side from WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston, where she worked for six years and served as the weekday morning and noon anchor. Her work at WHDH resulted in a 2012 Emmy nomination for best news anchor.
Before her time at WHDH, Anne worked at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio, WCTI in New Bern, N.C., and for NPR. She's excited to be back in her hometown rooting on the Cardinals, but, she says 5 On Your Side feels like home as well.
Anne got the journalism "bug" when she interned at 5 On Your Side in college.
