WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. — Two St. Louis spots have been named among some of the ‘best new restaurants’ of 2019 by Bon Appétit magazine.

The magazine released its list of 50 nominees for the ‘best new restaurants’ of this year.

Balkan Treat Box and Savage made the list.

Balkan Treat Box opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Webster Groves this year. Their food truck and restaurant concept features the cuisines of the Balkan Peninsula with food inspired from Bosnia to Turkey.

“We’re so humbled by the excitement and constant support from our community,” says Nalic. “This restaurant has been a dream of ours for quite some time, and we’re so grateful for all who have helped this restaurant become a reality.”

Savage is a small, new American restaurant in St. Louis’ Fox Park neighborhood. They focus on ‘overlooked and humble’ ingredients. The restaurant has 18 seats and no set menu. The menu typically focuses on seafood and vegetable dishes.
