It's back! Steve’s Hot Dogs & Burgers will reopen today

It'll open at 4 p.m. on Feb. 26

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis favorite that once was supposed to close for good will reopen Wednesday afternoon.

Steve’s Hot Dogs & Burgers closed on Feb. 1, but thanks to the support the business saw in what it thought were its final days – it is now reopening.

On Feb. 21, Steve’s founder Steve Ewing told 5 On Your Side that a group of investors helped get the restaurant back open. He said he has worked with the investors before and when they saw that the restaurant was closing, they jumped in to help.

Ewing said he was sad to see the restaurant go and is happy to be back.

“I was so sad, I cried for days,” he said. “It’s another emotional rollercoaster but this is what I want.”

It’ll be open Monday through Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In a Facebook post, it said the menu will be “pared back,” but customers’ favorites will still be there.
