‘We’re back!’ | Steve’s Hot Dogs & Burgers reopens

The restaurant will reopen on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

ST. LOUIS — After recently closing its doors, Steve’s Hot Dogs & Burgers is reopening!

The restaurant closed its location in The Hill in 2019 followed by its Tower Grove East location on Feb. 1.

Steve’s founder Steve Ewing said a group of investors helped get the restaurant back open.

Ewing said he’s worked with the group in the past and when they saw that the restaurant was closing, they jumped in to help.

“After that week of closing, we had interests from some investors and friends that wanted to keep the business going and wanted to help us out to get us back open again,” said Ewing.

Ewing said he was sad to see the restaurant go and is happy to be back.

“I was so sad, I cried for days,” he said. “It’s another emotional rollercoaster but this is what I want.”

Steve's started as a hot dog cart back in 2008 before its first brick-and-mortar spot opened in 2011.

The restaurant will reopen on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Steve's will now be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
