LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The Van started in 2011 to transport needed supplies such as food, water, clothing and hygiene products to unsheltered people.
Now, The Van is expanding its mission by farming fresh vegetables, eggs and honey.
"We began to see that people were getting a lot of their food from dumpsters, you know, and having to live off junk," said The Van's founder Aaron Reddin.
Reddin says the newly purchased land, which he's named “The Field," will eventually serve as an event venue for concerts and other gatherings to help raise money.
