At 25 stories t's hard to miss, but if you've never checked in to Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles you're missing out.
"We are an all suite property here in the heart of St. Charles and it's just a beautiful facility," explains Stephanie Wheller.
As Director of Hotel Operations she has a key to all 397 rooms, 385 of them have a marble entry, crown molding, a sunken living area with a TV even though there's a TV just a few yards away at the foot of the bed.
"Yep and one more in the bathroom so there's no space that you can go that you won't have a television."
And this is the standard.
"Every single guest that walks in here and stays the night with us gets a room just like this," Wheller points out.
Unless of course they prefer a spa suite with a bar and a jacuzzi where you can soak in the view. There's also the Presidential suite that has a fireplace and pool table, but you don't have to spend the night to get a little R and R.
"So all of our guests have access to all the spa amenities with a 50 minute service or longer," Susan Boyd, the Spa Director explains.

"We do massages, manicures, pedicures, facials and body treatments."
It's a luxurious escape where you can unwind and rejuvenate. A place where you can be pampered from head to toe and enjoy great food during. There are salads, smoked salmon lettuce wraps and bento boxes. Or grab something before or after by the beautiful pool.
"We added some flatbreads that we will do to order up here off our grill station," Chad Taylor, Chef de Cuisine says.
There's a burger with ozark mushrooms, caramelized onions and applewood smoked bacon.
"This year we're also going to do a BBQ grill up here so we'll have a grill station set up along with a full bar where they'll do specialty cocktails."
So light the fire within and book some time at luxurious spot sort of hiding in plain sight.
