Domestic Violence Survivor stops by Show Me St. Louis to share her story

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

ST. LOUIS — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Lindsay Fischer is a domestic violence survivor whose memoir hit #1 in all nonfiction on Amazon. The name of her memoir is The House on Sunset.

She stopped by Show Me St. Louis to share her story and talk about resources available to survivors in St. Louis. She is a former high school English teacher who left the classroom to help others who find themselves in domestic violence situations.

Lindsay graduated from trauma therapy and hit the ground running back in 2014. Her story is very powerful, and she finally realized it was time to get help. She found out there are local services, such as Safe Connections.
