Find out why people are more optimistic about their finances in 2020

A survey by Fidelity Investments helps show what resolutions people are making to get control of their money this year.

Americans are optimistic about their finances at the start of the new decade according to Fidelity Investment’s latest financial resolutions study. Almost 80% of people in the study predict they will be better off in 2020 than they were last year. John Boroff from Fidelity Investments is here with information on how to improve your finances this year.

John says that the main takeaway from the study is that 8 out of 10 Americans feel optimistic with their finances in 2020, but this is not due to their faith in the economy. They are pointing to moves they have made themselves to set themselves up for success in the new year.

So, what are those resolutions? The top three things people aim to do is to save more, pay down debt, and to spend less.
