ALTON, Ill. — St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which just means we get to start the party early. This is how the city of Alton, Illinois is looking at the holiday and more than a dozen bars and restaurants are coming together for a special St. Patrick’s celebration this Saturday.

Everybody is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! Alton, Illinois has great pubs, restaurants, and entertainment to celebrate the day as well as the town itself. There will be food and drink specials along with live entertainment in the downtown area.

The rapidly growing Bluff City Grill will be part of the action. They will have a live performance from local band Stubblefield along with pints of green beer and Irish recipes to serve.

Alton will be providing a free shuttle to help you get from place to place! One stop you can make along the way is Morrison’s Irish Pub. At the corner of State and Broadway, this restaurant loves their Irish foods. Inspired by local pubs in Ireland, this weekend is a great time to get a taste of what the owners brought home to Alton.
