There is a lot of winter fun happening at a place with beautiful scenery, good food, and great people. Courtney made her way across the river to The Loading Dock in Grafton, IL to take a look.
The Loading Dock has transformed their Boat Works into an ice-skating rink with all kinds of winter goodies! The building dates back almost 100 years, and in the summer, it is full of flea markets and big events. During the first week in November, the space transforms into a winter wonderland.
They have everything at The Loading Dock from s'mores to ice skating to games and more. You can even rent a heated tent for private parties for up to 20 kids, and the parents can enjoy a full-service bar. They also have a full service menu with great winter comfort food, classic burgers, and fish tacos.
The restaurant and patio are open all year! So on nice days, some people still choose to sit outside on the patio.
