ST. LOUIS - Fresh off the holiday season, you've probably noticed there are a lot of newly engaged couples.
Which means wedding planning and the latest trends will be flooding the Pinterest's of future brides.
St. Louis Bride Magazine is hosting its Wedding Connection Bridal Show on Sunday Jan. 7 at The Chase Park Plaza. If you can't make it, no worries. 5 On Your Side caught up with the editor of St. Louis Bride Magazine to find out the latest trends for the weddings of 2018.
Nancy Slade says the rustic decor is taking on a whole new meaning this year.
"I like to say woodsy now. So, bringing the outside elements inside to a formal venue setting and bringing those formal venue type elements like chandelier or crystal candelabras into an outdoor setting or that outdoor woodsy setting," said Slade.
Other trends include a variety of greenery in table settings and bouquets. Mixing the trendy rose gold with mercury glass and other woodsy decor. But, most importantly, Slade said whatever you want should be the theme of your wedding.
