ST. LOUIS – Remember when a St. Louis brewery and a Boston brewery had a friendly wager during the Stanley Cup Final?
Well, obviously Schlafly won because the Blues won – and now Boston-based Harpoon has to pour Schlafly’s beer for one day after the big win. They also have to wear the winning team’s gear while pouring the competition’s beer!
Harpoon will pour Schlafly Beer’s Pale Ale at their home brewery in Boston at 306 Northern Ave, Boston, while repping St. Louis Blues gear the first week of July.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the city of St. Louis,” said Founding Brewer Stephen Hale. “We have a feeling there is going to be a lot of Schlafly Beer consumed around St. Louis in the next week, and we are so excited to be a part of the celebrations. The added bonus of winning a wager with a great brewery like Harpoon makes this historic moment even sweeter! Congratulations to the Boston fans and players on a great series.”
The Schlafly team felt their flagship Pale Ale was the appropriate beer for Bostonians to enjoy.
