ST. LOUIS — Here’s a way to take your kids to the beach without ever leaving St. Louis. Sandcastle Beach is returning to The Magic House!

Beginning May 28, you and your family can stroll along the boardwalk, search for some seashells at the shell dig, relax under a colorful beach umbrella and even build a sandcastle.

The Magic House’s backyard is currently covered in ten truckloads of sand.

Along with the beach vibes, world-champion sand sculptor Dan Belcher will be there sculpting a 75-ton castle.

He’s a native St. Louisan, who’s won numerous awards for his creations.

This year’s sculpture will make the seventeenth magnificent sandcastle that Belcher has created for The Magic House.

If you’d like to see him in action, he will be at The Magic House through June 6.

The Magic House is a not-for-profit participatory museum that provides hands-on learning experiences to enhance creativity and develop problem-solving skills.

It has been open since 1979 and is located at 516 S. Kirkwood Road.

Reservations to The Magic House may be made online at www.magichouse.org/reservations.
