ST. LOUIS — A local 10-year-old boy wrote a letter to the maintenance team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital to say thank you.

Aiden’s mother works in the human resources department at the hospital. She encouraged him to write a letter, not only to practice his penmanship while school is out, but also to brighten someone’s day.

He decided to write to the maintenance team at Children’s to thank them for working so hard to keep the hospital safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a press release from the hospital.

Aiden’s letter reads:

Dear SLCH Maintenance Team.

I’ll introduce myself. My name is Aiden and I’m 10 years old. I go to Christ the King Catholic School. I want to say thank you for keeping the hospital safe during COVID-19. Please make sure you get rest and keep your families safe. I wish you a good week.

Take care.

Sincerely,

Aiden
