ST. LOUIS — We can almost smell the steak from here.
Morton’s the Steakhouse opened in downtown St. Louis Wednesday at Lumière Place.
“We’re looking forward to giving the guests downtown our iconic Morton’s experience,” said the restaurant’s General Manager Paul Nelson.
The Lumière location is one of the most unique in the country for Morton’s, Nelson said. The restaurant is one of the largest in America, it has a soft-seating, casual bar area and draft beer.
“Which is different than a lot of the Morton’s. We have two local drafts on tap, Civil Life and Urban Chestnut,” Nelson said.
But he added that customers can still expect an “iconic Morton’s experience.” He explained that as being “only the freshest and finest food available, legendary service and a sparkling clean restaurant.”
The restaurant is located right across from the casino area. The dining room features several beautiful photos of St. Louis landmarks framed on the walls, mixed in with art pieces. There also are two private rooms available.
The menu features all of the steaks, delectable dishes and signature sides customers found at other locations and Morton’s previous spot in St. Louis County.
Morton’s previously spent decades in Clayton but closed last year to prepare for the move.
“We’re looking forward to serving our iconic brand for as many years as we were in Clayton, to be down here for 25 years,” Nelson said.
