Pringles created an entire Thanksgiving meal of stackable potato chips this year.
Pringles' new Thanksgiving "dinner" includes eight flavors of chips: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, creamed corn, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, and pumpkin pie. The chips don't come in the signature can, but are instead packaged in a TV-dinner-style tray with separate sections for different flavored chips.
"This holiday season we wanted to introduce snack-lovers to a new way to enjoy Thanksgiving favorites," said Kurt Simon, senior director of marketing for Pringles.
The chips aren't available in stores, but were sent to media and pre-selected fans. USA TODAY received one of the limited-edition packs.
Our staffers taste-tested all eight flavors and gave most flavors a thumbs up. The stuffing flavored chip tasted the most authentic. The cranberry flavor was the most unsettling, like a Froot Loop chip. All in all, if we had the chance to eat these chips again, we'd bite.
