Recipe of the Day: Lobster Roll, Thermidor Gnocchi, & Fresh Apple Martini

It’s National Seafood Month! Bonefish Grill shared a few recipes in honor of the occasion.

ST. LOUIS —

Lobster Roll

Lobster Roll (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Lobster Meat, Freshly cooked or CKL Lobster Meat, Previously cooked
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Celery, 1/4” Dice
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice, Freshly squeezed
  • 1 TBSP Green Onions, Chopped
  • 1 TBSP Parsley, Chopped
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 pieces Lobster Roll Bread (Recipe follows)
  • 2 TBSP Melted Butter

Directions:

  • Combine the lobster meat, mayonnaise, celery, lemon juice, green onions, parsley, salt and pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Gently mix together with a rubber spatula until combined, reserve in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Brush the inside of your lobster roll bread with melted butter.
  • Divide the lobster mix evenly between both pieces of bread.
  • Serve with French fried or your favorite side and enjoy!
  • (Optional) Alternatively, use a sriracha mayo or citrus aioli in place of the plain mayonnaise to pump up the flavor.

 

Lobster Roll Bread

Ingredients:

  • Baguette Bread or Loaf, About 12” Long

Directions:

  • Place your baguette bread/loaf on a cutting board.
  • Trim and remove the end pieces creating flat edges.
  • Cut the baguette in half with a serrated knife to create two pieces.
  • Cut a 1” deep, triangle-shaped wedge, out of each piece to make room for the lobster filling. Discard the extra bread.
  • Continue with the lobster roll recipe.

Thermidor Gnocchi

Ingredients:

  • 1 fl oz Olive Oil
  • 8-10 ounces Shrimp, 41-50 count, Peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
  • 10-12 ounces Gnocchi
  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup Halved Grape Tomatoes
  • 2 TBSP Peas
  • 1 Cup Lobster Bisque (Your favorite)
  • 1 TBSP Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh Parsley, Chopped

Directions:

  • Heat a large sauté pan over medium high heat.
  • Add your Olive Oil once the pan is hot. Then add the Shrimp and season with Salt and Pepper. Sear the Shrimp on both sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the Gnocchi and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the Gnocchi begins to brown.
  • Muddle 2 red apple slices & a dash of cinnamon.  Add all ingredients to shaker.  Shake 20x.  
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a fresh apple slice & enjoy!

Fresh Apple Martini

Ingredients:                                                    Volume:

Vodka                                                                                 1.5 oz                  

Ginger Liqueur                                                                 .50 oz

Red Apples                                                                          2 slices

Cinnamon                                                                       1 dash

Apple Juice                                                                          1 oz

Fresh Sour Mix                                                                 .50 oz

Honey Syrup                                                                      .25 oz                            

Procedure:

  • Muddle 2 red apple slices & a dash of cinnamon.  Add all ingredients to shaker.  Shake 20x.  
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a fresh apple slice & enjoy!

Helpful Hints:

  • Having a party? Turn this into a fun Fall Party Punch by increasing the volume level on the ingredients, place in a large punch bowl, chill with ice, and float apple slices on top!
  • Impress your friends with your bartending skills by muddling some fresh apple. Then garnish with a fresh apple slice floated in the martini.
