Praline Pecan Crunch
8C Quaker Oats Squares (16oz)
2C pecan pieces
1/2C light corn syrup
1/2C firmly packed brown sugar
1/4C butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
Preheat oven to 250*
In a 9x13” baking pan combine cereal and pecans. Set aside.
In a microwave safe, medium sized bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter. Microwave 90 seconds and stir. Microwave again 30-90 seconds or until boiling. Remove from microwave using pot holders. Stir in vanilla and baking soda then pour over cereal mixture. Stir to coat evenly.
Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
Spread on baking sheet to cool then break into pieces.
Makes 20- 1/2C servings.
