Madison County, Ill., animal rescue creates bucket list for dog with terminal cancer

Partners for Pets decided to create a bucket list for Loretta to celebrate the time she has left, getting spoiled and going on new adventures!

MADISON COUNTY, Ill. – A Madison County animal rescue is helping a dog with terminal cancer make the most out of her remaining months of life.

Partners for Pets has been documenting Loretta’s journey on Facebook ever since they found her abandoned, tied outside of animal control in the cold with a massive tumor on her stomach.

Thankfully, Loretta was able to have her five-pound tumor removed. But, unfortunately, the cancer spread to several areas of her body and she was only given a few months to live.

Partners for Pets decided to create a bucket list for Loretta to celebrate the time she has left, getting spoiled and going on new adventures.

Oh, and eating lots of yummy treats, like cheeseburgers!

Loretta Update! We want to let everyone know that Loretta is doing great. She is so happy to be rid of that tumor. We know she only has a couple of months, but it was worth the trouble to take it...

In a new post on Monday, Partners for Pets mentioned this would be Loretta's last Christmas but it would be the best one she's ever had.

"This will be Loretta’s last Christmas but it’s going to be the best one yet," the Facebook post read. "Thank you Partners for Pets for giving Loretta weeks and weeks of love and happiness."
