Young girl sends handwritten letter to police after she called 911 when there wasn’t an emergency

O’FALLON, Ill. – A young girl sent the O’Fallon, Illinois Police Department a hand-written apology letter after she called 911 when there wasn’t an emergency.

She called 911 on August 12 and said she’s feels very bad about what happened.

“I just feel very bad about what happened. We are taking steps to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.”

The O’Fallon, Illinois Police Department shared this on their Facebook,

“We received this letter today from one of our little residents. She was very sorry about calling 911 when there wasn’t an emergency.

We appreciate the time she took to write us this letter but made sure she knew we would always be there if she needs us.

Please take a moment to talk with your kids about the proper use of 911.
