St. Louis area veterans invited to virtual job fair Thursday

ST. LOUIS — Dozens of companies looking to hire veterans will participate in a virtual job fair Thursday.

The virtual event is free to all members of the military, past and present, and their spouses and dependants, according to a press release from the organization RecruitMililtary, which is hosting the event.

"RecruitMilitary’s virtual events are technologically enhanced to provide personal interaction among job candidates and employers in large group, small group and one-on-one formats," the release said.

Some of the participating companies looking to hire veterans include DeVry and Trane.

Unemployment among veterans is at 9%, according to the release.
