ST. LOUIS — Seven Parkway students scored a 36 on the ACT college admissions exam this year.

A 36 is the highest possible score a student can achieve.

The number of students earning the top score varies every year but on average, less than two-tenths of one percent of students who take the ACT earn the best score.

The ACT tests students in English, math, reading and science on a score scale of 1-36.

The students that earned a perfect score from Parkway Central High School are Matthew Chen, Varsha Murali and Balaji Vijayakumar.

Ben Goff, Jonathan Ma, Dawson Ren and Lawrence Zhou all earned the best score from Parkway West High School.

ACT scores are accepted by all major four-year colleges and universities across the country.
