ST. LOUIS – A young girl will throw out the first pitch at Wednesday’s Cardinals game.
Hailey Dawson, 8, will throw out the first pitch using her 3D-printed hand in the game against the Padres at Busch Stadium.
This will be her 14th stop in her ‘Journey to 30.’ Her goal is throw out the first pitch at every Major League Baseball park.
Dawson was born with a rare condition called Poland Syndrome. She was born without her three middle fingers. A “robohand” was built for her on a 3D printer at UNLV. In August of 2015, she threw out the first pitch for the Baltimore Orioles.
